In 1988, upon the death of long time Rockland resident Lucy French Brown, a scholarship fund was created in her memory and continues to be administered by RDNA. In response to the emerging nursing shortage, Lucy French Brown sought to encourage individuals working within the health care system to continue their education, and complete a registered nursing degree.
